A little bit about the Imagination Playground in schools
Bricí Spraoi offers schools several tailored packages based on the schools needs. Please find some common queries below:
SIZE AND STORAGE
Bricí Spraoi have two sizes available for the blocks, a large and a small.
Our large set is suitable for school halls. Our small set works in both school halls or classrooms. The blocks pack away neatly in their cart for times when they are not in use and can be moved easily around the school as the carts provided are on wheels.
AGE GROUP
The blocks are most suitable for children in Junior Infants to Fourth Class. We find that children in 5th and 6th class can also enjoy the blocks by having more structured sessions. You will find suggestions of these in our teachers’ guide, shared with schools upon booking.
SESSIONS
Sessions with the blocks last anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour per class. A session can accommodate up to 32 children with the large blocks and 24 children with the small blocks. Bricí Spraoi offer suggested itineraries for school sessions which we share with the school in advance.
LENGTH OF HIRE
The playground can be hired from 3-5 days for schools and can be facilitated on the first day of hire through English or Irish.

SAMPLE ITINERARY OF HIRE
DAY ONE
One of Bricí Spraoi’s trained schools facilitators will deliver the blocks to your school. Schools must ensure that the hall is clear and ready to use.
Our trained facilitator will facilitate the first session of use of the bricks with a teacher in the halla. The second session should then be led by that teacher and supported by the facilitator so that they will then have a good grasp of how to use the bricks and show other staff and students how to use them.
Following from this, the facilitator will leave the blocks with the school for the rest of the duration of hire.
DAY TWO / THREE / FOUR
The school will engage with the blocks, with each class building with the blocks, lead by the school teacher. Bricí Spraoi will share a sample timetable for this with the school along with a teachers’ guide with lesson plan ideas. The blocks can be incorporated into many aspects of the curriculum, which we outline in our teachers’ guide.
DAY FIVE / FINAL DAY
Bricí Spraoi will pick up the blocks from your school at a time agreed in advance. This is usually around midday or after lón.
